So Ive seen ads on Facebook for this game, and usually I try to avoid games like this simply because if its being advertised on Facebook, then its likely garbage. (Gummy Drop, and all the Pokémon clones to name a few). However the game looked surprisingly decent. Moving a ball around obstacles to get to a goal. Not often I play a game like that, and it looked fun. And when I downloaded and played it, it was fun...at first. The levels go from fun to downright ridiculous with obstacles set to obviously run down your lives/ball count until you either wait until you get your "daily reward" (goodness, how many games do this?) or watch some ads, even though we are forced to watch ads anyways when we fall off the ledge. Honestly, this game is a cash grab app, which is honestly pathetic. Theres not even an ad free version on the App Store you can buy, which is pretty silly considering that the name of the app is "Gyrosphere Trials". Is "trials" just there to look cool? Is it the subtitle? Are we to expect sequels like "Gyrosphere Tests", "Gyrosphere Infinity" and "Gyrosphere Return of Jafaar"? Just name it Gyrosphere. Also, while I like the touch controls that utilize the touch screen versus a joy stick or control pad. It still feels awkward, not to mention the god awful camera that feels obligated to ALWAYS be behind the ball, there are times where I need the camera in a fixed position but the camera moves and is constantly behind the ball. Weve had 3D third person games for years now, work on that. Maybe make some fixed camera positions in certain areas of a level. All in all, this game is mediocre at best, with a concept that is not all that original, and is masked to look free even though its stuffed with ads and pushes you to pay for extra lives/balls, notably with how the levels are designed.
